Hi this is CoffeeMom
a little about me I am a wife, mom, sister, daughter ect ... I can see that your bored out of your mind. However I am Girl Scout Leader 3 years running and a Girl Scout MOM for 4 years. My family has moved a lot and since starting Girls Scouts I have meet some out of this world Ladies. This Special Ladies is what makes Girl Scouting fun, and on top of that a great friendship has grown.
I have been really wanting to do a blog of something useful, so with the nudge of another great Girl Scout Leader Amy :) I decided to do a blog on Swaps.
I love the creative power that lets you make swaps or better yet come up with a great idea.
So here is what to expect on this blog... Swaps and more Swaps
Some may just be pictures found on the web, a pattern or and idea to run with.
If you send me a picture I will post it at the next update. If you like some idea on what to do for an event let me know and I will see what I can come up with.
Words of advice for Leader when doing or thinking up Swaps
Don't over think the swaps
Think of the supplies you have on had or can get with little to no charge that can be used
K.I.S.S ( keep it simple silly)
If you have a lot don' t be afraid to put the parents to work!
Keep your troop's age level in mind.
and last
Assembly line with your troop!
Example:
say your making a swap and it has strips of blue paper, red paper, white paper and silver stars ( dont for get your tag)
Say you have ten girls on your in your troop
3 girls can be cutting the strips of paper
3 girls putting the the papers in ( one does the blue then hands it to the next for the red and then to the white who passes it on to the 1 girl doing the stars that hand it to the girl who is putting the tag in the bag and safety pin on.
(depending on size of your troop you can always break it into 2 or lines)
That is all that I can think of so now on to the Swaps.
These are in random order.
